By

New Greek TV series ‘Maestro’ has attracted Netflix attention and made its way to the streaming platform. The script writer and director Christoforos Papakaliatis is back to the small screen after over a decade of absence and focus on blockbusters. As usual, viewers’ expectations were high for this new series since the director’s works have been known to be mostly flawless.

As expected, Maestro has already won viewers’ hearts with its plot and cast since it first aired on Greek channel MEGA on the 13th of October 2022.

Christoforos Papakaliatis said during an interview: I feel wonderful. It is something that I really wanted and something that we have worked very hard on for the past 2 years. We were working towards this direction; we had several conversations about this but I did not want to announce anything before we were sure about it. We were expecting it and we got lucky, I guess. I am very proud because it is the first Greek series on this platform that is completely produced by Greeks. I hope this is a good start for cooperation between Greek productions and Netflix.

The series is expected to hit Netflix Europe screens on 19th of December 2022 and will be available worldwide at the beginning of 2023.
