How They Met…
Konstantinos and Maria are a newly wedded couple. Showccasion had the honor to have a brief talk with them after the wedding and to experience their excitement for their future life together.
They met in Athens in 2017 on a night out with common friends. Maria had moved to Athens a while ago from the countryside due to a job position while Konstantinos was born and raised in Athens. The minute they saw each other, their eyes locked and connected straight away. Nobody else existed after that, the night was just for them. Conversation was smooth and engaging, the interest from both sides was obvious. By the end of the night, Konstantinos asked for Maria’s social media, in hope to see her again.
Funny thing is, they didn’t meet any of the people they went out with that night again, but they started dating right after that magical night. Maria had the opportunity to move to another city for a job offer. But shortly after she started dating Konstantinos, she knew that she had to stay in Athens. She had a feeling that he might be the one!
The Proposal…
The proposal happened on a casual day when Konstantinos went to pick up Maria from work. After picking her up, he suggested to go for a walk by the sea and order take away sushi to have at home. Ordering sushi is a bit fancy in Greece, where pita gyros is the king of fast food. If you have tried it you know what I mean! So ordering sushi made Maria suspicious about what was special about that day.
Little did she know that the proposal would happen while eating sushi! Konstantinos created a video with pictures from all their years together as a couple. Such a sweet gesture! By the end of the video, he proposed! Maria said yes immediately and lots of crying followed. Who wouldn’t have cried? Moments after, they called their families to tell the news. Such a happy moment!
The Wedding…
The wedding took a lot of preparation and energy, as it happened in a magical village in upper Greece named Platamonas. The little church is located between the mountain and the sea, creating the perfect spot for unforgettable memories and great pictures. A little party followed the ceremony, where family and guests got to celebrate the beginning of Konstantinos and Maria’s new life. Family and guests arrived from different parts of Greece and abroad to celebrate their love.
